Materials

Natural mulberry-silk fibres; plated copper framework; 925 sterling-silver ear hooks; pearl and faceted crystal accents; silver-tone metal tassels.

Technique

Natural mulberry-silk fibres are shaped into graduated teardrop petals over a fine copper framework, then hand-assembled with pearl, crystal and suspended silver-tone tassels.

Made as Ronghua flower earrings with natural mulberry-silk fibres, this contemporary design combines shaped petals with fine wirework, decorative beads and mobile metal tassels.
